Ictect, Inc. – the intelligent content company – announced availability of Intelligent Content Server, a cloud-based software for automated conversion of journal documents to JATS XML. More information and demonstration of the software is available from the company’s website at http://www.ictect.com/JATS-XML.
Organizations interested in a test run of the software can also submit their document via the site. Ictect will provide a live demonstration using that company’s document.
Furthermore, Ictect will be exhibiting Intelligent Content Server at STM Digital Publishing 2017 in London from December 5 to December 7.
Ictect is offering this as cloud-based or on-premise service that customers can run either on their own, or assisted by Ictect. Ictect invites journal publishers, service providers and solution developers for a test-run. This web-based service will reduce cost and turn-around time in JATS XML tagging. The service may be used for ongoing documents or legacy documents. It handles raw manuscripts as well as copyedited versions.
Using the software is very easy. Customers simply upload Microsoft Word documents and Intelligent Content Server tags them. Customers receive a tagged Word document and a JATS XML document. Ictect also offers a rules editor that can be used to update tagging rules.
The Intelligent Content Server software is based on Ictect’s patented technology (U.S. Patent #7,251,777). The company is currently conducting pilot runs with US-based journal publishers.
Ictect, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is also offering the following services and workshops at Microsoft Technology Centers to organizations interested in streamlining their publishing workflow.
